Chipo is an Information Technology professional and resides in Zimbabwe with her family. Changing people’s lives by doing small acts of kindness brings her so much joy and satisfaction. Being resident in Zimbabwe, Chipo experiences and witnesses daily the hardships that the poverty and economic strife has placed on most Zimbabweans. She is actively involved in outreach programs (through her church ministry) that seek to empower vulnerable women in Zimbabwe. Through these exposures, Chipo felt compelled to team up with others who are passionate about the causes that she that she believes in. She enjoys compassion work and her motto is to be the change that she wants to see.

Regina is a global interior decorator by profession. It has been an incredibly tough ride to get to where she currently is today. However, through the help of donors and well-wishers, she saw herself rising through the ranks and achieving her dreams. She believes that human beings are created to SERVE, show compassion and help others so that they also realize their dreams. Through this foundation, she hopes to extend her creative abilities to marginalized women so that they can start income generation projects so that they can feed their families and send their children to school.

Mercy is a Human Resources Manager at Radio Division, a subsidiary of Zimpapers Group, the leading media house in Zimbabwe. She is passionate about assisting the less privileged members especially the girl child. Having raised by a single parent, she knows how it feels to lack basic needs. In addition to financial deprivation, Mercy understands the stereotypes attached to single parenthood and the children in these families by society in general. Consequently, she seeks to engage in activities and projects that trump these societal labels and empower women to be providers and caretakers of their families without prejudice.

Natsi was born and raised in Zimbabwe and moved to the UK in 2001. She works as a Specialist Podiatrist for the National Health Service. Although she has lived her adult life in the Greater Manchester Area, she has not forgotten her roots and the plight of most Zimbabwean families who live under social hardships that she grew up in. She has a large extended family back home in Zimbabwe who often rely on financial assistance from relatives, (her included), and that constantly reminds her of the many underprivileged families who do not have anyone to turn out to. She wishes to eradicate disparities created and perpetuated by gender and ensure that every child has access to basic needs.

Shamiso is an environmentalist residing in Zimbabwe. She is passionate about the environment as demonstrated by her the work she is doing in planting trees to restore lost forests. She is also actively involved in Waste Management in cities by advocating for citizens to practice the 3 Rs (Reuse, Recycle and Recycle). In addition to her work in restoring native forests she is also passionate about elderly care, education as well as women’s health. Growing up in the rural areas of Zimbabwe, she witnessed first-hand how poor land utilization, mismanaged tree harvesting worsened the health and other social indicators that greatly affected women and children.

Tendai has been working in the field of public health for over eight years in Zimbabwe and Botswana. Currently she is a doctoral student in Global Health at Columbia University in the city of New York, USA. Throughout her work on the global health landscape, Tendai has been exposed to the different power dynamics that disproportionately skew access to health services, education and other social benefits towards one gender over the other. As a result, she has made a firm resolve to build a career that revolves around improving the inequities in access to health, education and justice particularly for women and girls in Zimbabwe. Her efforts quest for more sustainable, community oriented projects that abate dependency on donations, but rather promote local talent, skill and knowledge in generating income.

Tatenda Brenda Kufandirori is a qualified Chartered Accountant. She did her articles with Deloitte Zimbabwe where she accumulated more than 10 years local and regional work experience in the auditing space. Her experience spans over a cross section of industries that include banking, telecommunications, hospitality, construction, manufacturing, FMCG, agriculture, mining and NGOs. She is currently the Business Performance Manager at Nedbank Zimbabwe Limited. Tatenda holds an Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours in Accounting) from Midlands State University.
